on experiance yesterday, i see that to stick usb in to OLPC is clumsy and
risk to damage so i made zero stick in OLPC using SD card in replace of
USB and found none scientific solution on OLPC.
it was said on OLPC to boot like below:
===============================================================
\ Menu bootscript for OLPC with overclocking. Place in /boot as olpc.fth
\ select overclock level
cr
." 1 to set the clock speed as normal" cr
." 2 to under clock the machine to 333 MHZ memory 133" cr
." 3 to overclock it to 500 memory 200" cr
." 4 to overclock extreme to 533 233 WARNING MIGHT BE UNSTABLE" cr cr
key case
[char] 2 of \ underclock
7de009e 3d3 4c000014 wrmsr ." underclock"
endof
[char] 3 of \ over clock normal
7de009e 5dd 4c000014 wrmsr ." overclock normal"
endof
[char] 4 of \ overclock EXTREME
7de009e 6df 4c000014 wrmsr ." overclock EXTREME"
endof
\ Default - keep the normal setting
endcase
\ select boot location
cr
." 1 to boot from SD" cr
." 2 to boot from USB" cr
." 3 to boot from internal nand" cr
." 4 to boot alternate image from Nand" cr
cr
key case
[char] 1 of \ SD boot info
" ro root=mmcblk0p1 rootdelay=1 console=ttyS0,115200 console=tty0
fbcon=font:SUN12x22" to boot-file
" sd:\boot\vmlinuz" to boot-device
" sd:\boot\olpcrd.img" to ramdisk
endof
[char] 2 of \ USB boot info
" ro root=sda1 rootdelay=1 console=ttyS0,115200 console=tty0
fbcon=font:SUN12x22" to boot-file
" disk:\boot\vmlinuz" to boot-device
" disk:\boot\olpcrd.img" to ramdisk
endof
[char] 4 of \ Alternate boot image info
" ro root=mtd0 rootfstype=jffs2 console=ttyS0,115200 console=tty0
fbcon=font:SUN12x22" to boot-file
" nand:\boot-alt\vmlinuz" to boot-device
" nand:\boot-alt\olpcrd.img" to ramdisk
endof
( default ) \ Default sugar boot image info
" ro root=mtd0 rootfstype=jffs2 console=ttyS0,115200 console=tty0
fbcon=font:SUN12x22" to boot-file
" nand:\boot\vmlinuz" to boot-device
" nand:\boot\olpcrd.img" to ramdisk
endcase
unfreeze
boot
==========================
What they said never work.
To make it work it need to remove this line at the end:
unfreeze
Also, I have 2 OLPC but ONE cannot over/under clock while another ONE can.
This is ridiculous NON scientific reason.
Another NON scientific reason is:
ONE can boot normally with line:
" ro root=mmcblk0p1 rootdelay=1
While it was impossible to work on another one.
I put " ro root=mmcblk0p1 rootdelay=5
Still not work.
To make it to work I have to put:
" ro root=mmcblk0p1 rootdelay=10
It was my none-scientific experiance to solve above problem.
Why?
Because I found that I can boot with normal mannual command
i.e.
boot sd:\boot\olpc.fth
in all case.
so, it means my vmlinuz and initrd.gz work correctly.
what the heck happen in 2 OLPC is non-scientific reason.
This is reason why non-scientific experiance is very valuable and benefit
to our world.
Bad professor refuse to listen to true phenomena happen that violate LAW
they beleive and accused that i am a bad person and a liar.
While the truth is it was him itself that stick to LAWs they obey with its
idiosyncrazy.
The serious problem of the world happen because those professor are in
power for 30 years long and cause much problems to our world.
All I said is unbeleivable proven FACT.
And it was secret of my inventions that no one has done before 555.
